TCSpotlight Video Player Script

We'll try to answer some of the most commonly asked questions
of the TCSpotlight video player. We can't troubleshoot layout questions,
but the instruction provided below should lead you in the right direction.

I don't see the video player on my web page?

You should have received an email from TCSpotlight with instructions of how to put the video in your site. Verify that you have the first script in the head of the web page and the second script somewhere in the body of the web page.

You should check to see if you have javascript enabled (the player will tell you if you need to enable javascript in your web browser. Also, check to see if you have the latest version of Flash. The video player will prompt users if they have an outdated version of Flash.

Finally, make sure the video player is not positioned behind any other elements of the page. If you can hear the sound from the video then it's probably hiding behind something.

How does I position the video player?

Though we do not provide support of laying out the player in your site, we can offer several solutions. The video player is 440px x 360px and has an id tag of tcspotlight (which you should attach your CSS styles to).

The best solution is to use CSS to position the player by assigning your CSS styles to the id tag on the player. Using CSS you could use position: absolute and a z-index to stack your player above all elements on your web page. This would be a clean solution to position your player wherever you'd like on the page.

You might be more comfortable using tables to position the player. In this case you can put the video player script in the table and then position the table however you'd like.

If you are unfamiliar with both of these methods, please google the terms in bold for more instruction.
